Niranjan Mukundan’s Rise as a World-Class Para Swimmer Through Nutrition
Working with Indian para swimming champion Niranjan Mukundan has reinforced my belief that elite performance is built on personalized nutrition and consistency.

I have had the privilege of working closely with Niranjan Mukundan, one of India’s most accomplished para swimmers.
Born with spina bifida, Niranjan has undergone multiple major and minor surgeries, yet his determination has always stood taller than his challenges.
He is a former Junior World Champion, crowned at the World Junior Games in the Netherlands, and has since gone on to win over 65 international medals for India.
He currently holds national and Asian records in the 200m backstroke category.
Niranjan has also been recognized globally, earning a place in the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list.
His journey into swimming began as medical advice to strengthen his legs, but it soon became a path to excellence.
Managing his nutrition around intense training, recovery, and international travel has been critical to sustaining performance.
Every pre-workout, intra-workout, and post-workout meal is designed with precision, not guesswork.
His achievements reaffirm that nutrition is not a support system, but a performance tool.
At Qua Nutrition, our role is to help athletes like Niranjan turn extraordinary resilience into world-class results.
With over two decades of experience in sports and clinical nutrition, Ryan Fernando has helped thousands of clients, including elite athletes, celebrities, and corporate leaders, achieve peak physical and mental performance. As the founder of QUA Nutrition, Ryan has been at the forefront of transforming the way people approach nutrition, blending cutting-edge science with personalized nutrition strategies.
