Longevity Summit India 2026: Two Days at Fairmont Mumbai, and What I'm Actually Taking Home
I've been doing nutrition in this country for over twenty years. In that time I've watched India's health conversation move from "reduce weight for the wedding" to "reduce my HbA1c" to, now, "what's my biological age?"

So when Longevity Summit India 2026 landed at Fairmont Mumbai on 15 and 16 August, I went. This time on stage, speaking and moderating a session called The 100-Year Body: Engineering a Century of Health in an Indian Body. But I spent most of those two days off the stage, walking the floor like every other delegate. Not as a sceptic, not as a fanboy. As someone who has to look at a client on Monday morning and tell them, honestly, whether any of this is worth their money.
Here's what those two days were actually like.
The room was not what I expected
I've sat through enough Indian health conferences to know the format. Beige ballroom. Ninety-minute PowerPoints. Cold samosas at the tea break.
This wasn't that.
Close to a thousand delegates turned up, and more than forty speakers came in from across the world. But the thing that struck me first was the crowd itself. Cardiologists standing next to crypto founders. Ayurvedic practitioners next to peptide researchers. A woman who ran a family office asking a genomics guy very sharp questions about test reproducibility. I don't think I've seen that mix in one room in India before.
Ten-plus experience zones, and my honest verdict on each
You didn't sit through this summit. You walked through it. More than ten interactive zones ran alongside the talks, covering gut health, genomic wellness, peptides, AI diagnostics, recovery tech and frequency devices.
I tried most of them. Some notes, plainly:
Hyperbaric oxygen and intermittent hypoxic training. Real science, decent evidence base for recovery and certain clinical uses. Also expensive, and the marketing runs well ahead of the data for healthy people. Useful. Not magic.
AI body scanning (Carna AI). This one interested me most professionally. Body composition data a client can see in thirty seconds, without a DEXA appointment. Compliance is 80% of the battle in nutrition, and people change behaviour when they can watch a number move. That's the real win here. Not the AI, the feedback loop.
Normatec compression, molecular hydrogen, vacuum therapy. Nice recovery adjuncts. If your sleep is six hours and your protein intake is 40g a day, none of it will save you. Order of operations matters.
Ice baths and breath-work. Crowded, unsurprisingly. Everyone loves the dramatic intervention.
I say this as someone who charges people for advice: the zones were genuinely well curated, but the boring inputs still do the heavy lifting. Protein. Sleep. Steps. Strength training. Everything else is optimisation on top of that base.
Why I called my longevity summit India 2026 session "The 100-Year Body"
The title wasn't decoration. It was the argument.
Most of what gets sold as longevity today was designed for a different body. The reference data, the dosing, the risk thresholds, the "optimal" ranges on a lab report: much of it comes from populations that don't look like ours. And the Indian body has its own starting conditions. Higher visceral fat at a lower BMI. Insulin resistance showing up years earlier. Cardiovascular events at ages that would be considered premature elsewhere. Vitamin D and B12 gaps that are close to a national default.
So engineering a century of health here is not a copy-paste job. It's a different build.
What I noticed from the front of that room is that nobody in India needs convincing anymore that longevity is worth pursuing. That argument is finished. The questions now are sharper and more uncomfortable. What should I actually test. Who do I trust. What do I do when two people on the same stage disagree.
The most common question I got, by some distance, was some version of: where do I start? Not which peptide. Not which device. Where to start. That tells you something about how far ahead the marketing has run of the basics.

Where nutrition finally got its due
The part I'd flown in for.
The food was organized into Yellow, Green and White zones, each mapped to a different function: digestion, metabolic health, cardiovascular support. Not a buffet with a "healthy corner." An actual argument, made in food.
Chef Ranveer Brar was there as Culinary Ambassador for Longevity, and his line stuck with me. He said longevity isn't about adding years, it's about staying capable, curious and connected through them, and that food is the most powerful daily choice we make, with Indian food wisdom having plenty to contribute.
That last bit is the whole point, and I wish more of the longevity industry heard it. We are importing a lot of protocols from Palo Alto and Zurich right now. Meanwhile we have populations in this country who've been eating fermented foods, seasonal produce, legume-heavy plates and long overnight fasts for centuries without calling it biohacking. There's a version of Indian longevity that isn't a copy of the American one. That conversation started at this summit. It's nowhere near finished.
What I'd tell my clients
Three things.
One. Biological age is a motivation tool, not a diagnosis. Test it if you like the nudge. Don't reorganize your life around the number.
Two. Sequence your spending. Fix sleep, protein and resistance training first. Those cost almost nothing. Peptides, hyperbaric and NAD+ drips are the last 10%, and they only work on top of the first 90%.
Three. Longevity is now an industry, and industries sell. Some of what was on that floor is excellent. Some is a beautiful machine with a thin evidence base. Ask what the intervention was compared against, and in whom.
Would I go back?
Yes. Genuinely.
This was the first Longevity Summit India, and first editions are usually rough. This one wasn't. It was well run, seriously international, and it treated the audience as capable adults rather than a market to be sold to. Mostly.
More than that, it signalled something. India isn't just consuming longevity science anymore. We're starting to have opinions about it.
That shift matters more than any single device on that floor.
