How I Prepared Miss India 2026: Ryan Fernando on Science Backed Nutrition
How I Prepared Miss India 2026 for the Big Stage
Over the years, many Miss India titleholders and a lot of well known names have walked into my clinic. What they all have in common is that they are tired of guessing. They don't want a diet chart copied from someone else. They want to know what works for their own body.
That is exactly what we do at Qua Nutrition, and this year I'm proud to share that we are the official nutrition partner for Miss India 2026.

Working With Sadhvi Sail
Sadhvi Satish Sail from Goa was crowned Femina Miss India 2026 on 18 April in Bhubaneswar, and she will now represent India at Miss World 2027 in Tanzania. She is also the first woman from Goa to win the title. For me, the job is simple to explain and hard to do: help her look her healthiest, keep her energy high and make sure her body is ready for the demands of a global stage.
I Always Start With Genes
I don't believe in average diets. Every body responds differently to carbs, fats, caffeine and even exercise. So before I plan a single meal, I look at a genetic test. It tells me how someone's body processes food, how it handles inflammation and how quickly it recovers.
Once I have that, the plan I build belongs to one person only. For a pageant contestant, that means no crash dieting and no guesswork. Just food that works with her body, not against it.
Every Muscle, Every Drop of Water, Every Gram of Fat
The weighing scale lies more often than people think. That is why I personally ran BMI and full body composition tests during the Miss India preparation. We measured every muscle, every bit of water content and every percentage of fat.
These numbers tell me what is really happening. If weight goes down but muscle goes down with it, I change the plan. If hydration is off, it shows up in energy and skin, so we fix it early. Every adjustment is based on data, not on how the mirror looks that morning.

The Same Science for Everyone
People sometimes ask me if this approach is only for celebrities and beauty queens. It isn't. At Qua Nutrition, I use the same method for athletes, actors, working professionals and anyone who wants to take their health seriously. Test first, understand the body, then plan the food.
Miss India 2026 is just the most visible example of what this can do.
A crown is won on stage, but the preparation happens months before, in the kitchen and in the lab. I'm grateful to be part of this journey with Miss India 2026, and I can't wait to see her represent India on the world stage.
