Ripe Jackfruit Modakas
Steamed rice dumplings filled with jackfruit. A fibre-rich, festive snack for gut and energy boost.

Ingredients
Ripe jackfruit (chopped): 1⁄2 cup
Rice flour (roasted): 1 cup
Water: 11⁄4 cups
Salt: 1⁄4 tsp
Cold-pressed sesame oil: 1 tsp
Freshly grated coconut: 2 tbsp
Jaggery syrup (jaggery + water): 1–2 tbsp
Cardamom powder: a pinch
Method
Boil water with salt and oil. Pour over rice flour and mix to form a soft dough.
Take the dough, give it a shape and fill in the finely chopped jackfruit, grated coconut, jaggery powder, and a pinch of cardamom. Steam for 8–10 mins.
Serve warm for breakfast or as a snack.
