Skin dullness : how can you keep your skin tone flawlessly beautiful?

The word “dullness” refers to skin that has lost its brightness and seems pale.

Several variables influence the colour of our skin:

#1 Skin tone and blood circulation

Have you ever noticed how your skin shines when you work out? Our skin carries one-third of the blood that circulates throughout our bodies. When we exercise, our circulation improves, allowing more blood to flow through the blood vessels near our skin’s surface.

Skin tone is directly affected by poor blood circulation to the skin, as observed in a variety of illnesses. When our bodies are ill, blood rushes to the source of pain, decreasing circulation to the skin. This causes the skin to become discoloured, pale, and in some cases, blue.

Our skin tone is also affected by poor circulation, which reduces the quantity of nutrients and oxygen that reach our skin. As a result, our skin cells have a harder time producing important proteins like collagen, which give our skin elasticity, strength, and a healthy glow.

#2 Skin tone and pigments

Our skin has a variety of natural pigments. Melanin is one of the pigments that determines the colour of our skin. Melanin’s major purpose is to protect our bodies against the degradation of folic acid induced by UV radiation from the sun. When we spend time in the sun, our melanin levels rise, resulting in a sun tan.

Beta carotene, the pigment that turns carrots orange, and lycopene, the pigment that turns tomatoes red, belong to the carotenoids family of pigments. Carotenoids accumulate in our skin and protect us from the sun and other environmental elements.

In a fascinating study, it was shown that persons with greater amounts of carotenoids in their skin are perceived as healthier and more beautiful!

So, how can you keep your skin tone flawlessly beautiful?

#A) Exercise

Exercise is good for your health since it increases circulation. One of the numerous advantages of integrating regular exercise in your regimen is better skin tone.

#B) Consume plenty of fruits and veggies

Lycopene amd beta carotene are carotenoids present in a range of vegetables and fruits. Carotenoids are found in foods that are pink, red, orange and yellow in colour.

#C) Go outside and enjoy the sunshine.

We consider flawlessly tanned skin so appealing that there are a slew of ‘bronzing’ options available for those who can’t get enough sun! A few hours in the sun may do wonders for your skin while also ensuring that you get your daily dosage of Vitamin D3 (which, interestingly, also aids with circulation!).

Remember to use a sunscreen that protects against both UV-A and UV-B rays before going outside!
