Nutritionist recommends these foods to eat if you’re wearing braces for the first time

Braces are known for assisting teeth in achieving a better and more beautiful smile that lasts a long time.

It takes some time to get used to them after the doctor has treated them. Whilst consuming your meals, you may experience some soreness and discomfort. You should also avoid eating hard items that could damage your braces.

Look for foods that are not very hard to cut down and can be swallowed easily. When wearing braces, there are a variety of healthful and pleasant soft meals to choose from. Here are some meal tips to make your experience with braces go as smoothly as possible.

Make sure your delectable poha isn’t chewy and has been thoroughly soaked in water. A fine peanut powder can be sprinkled on top instead of adding raw peanuts. If you are someone who adds veggies to your poha, make sure they are finely cut to avoid becoming tangled in the braces.

This is a hearty lunch alternative that may be turned into a one-dish dinner by adding finely chopped vegetables while it’s cooking. Make sure it’s fully cooked by adding a little more water.

One of the finest foods for new braces is scrambled eggs, which can be served in a variety of ways every day with toppings such as onions, cheese, cream and peppers.

Pasta can be served with any sauce of your choice. But make sure to boil pasta a little more than you usually do to make it softer.

Upma is a delicious breakfast choice made with well-soaked dal that is highly pliable and rava that has been cooked with a little additional water to make it extra soft.

Evergreen- Roti & Dal Combo

Prepare the dal till it has a soupy consistency, then immerse smashed roti pieces in it for a few minutes to soften them. It’s best to eat it while it’s still warm and fresh.

A great and healthy breakfast can also be made with super soft idlis, finely minced chutney and sambhar for a complete taste.

Not only will you get your omegas but also it’s easy to chew and goes well with soft boiled rice in your favourite curry.

Don’t eat them as whole. Cut them to small pieces as biting on whole fruit can be hard on the braces. Add yoghurt in your fruits to enhance the taste.

Soup/ Smoothies

Easy to eat and get required nutrition and calories without much fuss. Add veggies/fruits to your soup & smoothies to get a healthy meal.

While wearing braces, a person must refrain from eating certain foods. Avoid foods that are hard, crunchy, chewy, sticky such as popcorn, almonds, or peanut butter that is highly chunky.
